To be honest, even being a "Realtor" does not mean as much as it should. To become a Realtor, one only has to be licensed, and pay Board dues. It can only be taken away by an enforcement action, which are rare, and slow. This is why it is so important to get references and only work with someone who your gut tells you will look out for your long term best interests, not just a quick commisison. REALTORs®; are held to a code of ethics and much higher standards than your average agent They maybe held to a code of ehtics higher than the avearage agent but how do we know we can trust them.
